Simon Williams group

With members from across Canada, the Simon Williams group strives to bring a fresh sound to the current musical landscape. By incorporating unique instrumentation and drawing upon influences from jazz, rock, fusion, punk, electronic and ambient music, their acoustic performances are unique, memorable, and exciting! Their all-star lineup is known to play music from Boards of Canada, Leonard Bernstein, Brad Mehldau, and Radiohead, as well as a selection of original compositions that seamlessly enhance avenues for expression. High-energy improvised solos and odd-time signatures stitched together by strong melodies and catchy rhythms are characteristic of their sound. Having played at the Rex, Drom Taberna, Humber Polytechnic, TUJF 2024, and the 2024 TD Edmonton International Jazz Festival, the group has extensive performance experience together, and are excited to continue sharing their sound!
