Marie Lambert Quartet

Marie Lambert is a jazz vocalist, bassist, composer, arranger and improviser. Passionate about jazz, creation, nature and writing, she is enthusiastic about life and art. Her music moves us, offering a colorful amalgam of arranged pieces, passing through jazz/be-bop, fusion, funk, latin and more. 

In addition to her warm, soulful, versatile voice and authentic swinging phrasing, Marie Lambert is a talented composer and arranger for a jazz quartet that features her: Marie Lambert Quartet. Deeply rooted in the music as she sings, she offers us an emotionally powerful experience, transporting us into her artistic and creatively explosive universe.  Since its creation, the group has featured legendary double bassist.

A truly infectious and endearing pearl, Marie and her trio is gaining recognition and has repeatedly demonstrated her talents and sharp sense of harmony through improvisation. Her songs and arrangements showcase her refined vocal technique and her natural talent for connecting with audiences while performing live. Marie is more than a jazz singer, she's a woman of many voices, exploring many genres and using every one of them to express her sensibility, moving through a varied range of emotions. Based in Montreal and currently finishing her bachelor's degree in Jazz music at the University of Montreal, she is studying with renowned teachers such as Alain Caron and Malika Tirolien amongst others. Eventually, she is planning to get a master’s degree in New York City. She has performed in several Montreal jazz clubs and released an album of jazz arrangements in November 2024, Now's The Time, alongside prestigious musicians such as Frédéric Alarie and Dany Roy. The band is working on a second album to be released in 2025. Although, the touring band will be with a different pianist and drummer. Graduated from Cégep de Drummondville with a professional technique in jazz music and song (2021) and three years of mentoring from Johanne Blouin, singer Marie Lambert is a young artist full of energy, experiences and ambition, ready to share her passion with new audiences. Whether she's interpreting an arrangement or presenting a composition, Lambert is certainly a marvelous source of creativity, offering a perfect marriage between complex music and a deep, authentic experience that will charm your senses.
