Gabriel AB Quintet
Gabriel Audet-Bourgault is an active guitarist on the Montreal jazz scene where his trio plays regularly and organizes jam sessions in bars around the city. Recently graduated from McGill University (Master of Jazz Performance), Gabriel had the opportunity to play with the McGill Jazz Orchestra I, sharing the stage with greats such as Louis Hayes, Charles McPherson and Ranee Lee. He also recently had the chance to participate in the recording of Jeremy Sandfelder's album Passing Time with Andre White, Dave Watts and Jihye Im. His first album of original compositions, Paradox featuring Lucas Dubovik, Ludovic Rochon, Ben Boardman et Léo Minville will be out in spring 2025. The Gabriel AB Quintet is a jazz group influenced by Hard-Bop with a touch of modernity. The group's compositions combine sensitivity with a sense of swing and blues. With all these influences, the group puts improvisation at the forefront of each piece where the interaction between the musicians weaves the musical thread of the evening.
