Oscar Peterson Award winner, Carl Bray, was named one of Canada’s rising star pianists by CBC Radio. He has performed for the Governor General of Canada and was invited to speak and perform at The Walrus Talks - The Future of the Arts alongside Canadian luminaries including Margaret Atwood and Tom Jackson. The trio features bassist Mark Godfrey, who was awarded the Grand Prix de Jazz (Montreal Jazz Festival) and nominated for the Julian Award of Excellence for Emerging Canadian Jazz Artists. As well as Juno-nominated drummer Will Fisher who has performed at the Tokyo Jazz Festival, Birdland Jazz Club (NYC), and released his own album as leader which received an ECMA nomination for Jazz Recording of the Year.

Their debut album, Talk of Hands, features exciting original compositions set in the classic piano trio style made famous by Hank Jones, Ahmad Jamal, and Wynton Kelly, to name a few. Upon hearing the trio perform, award winning producer George Koller (Peter Gabriel, Holly Cole, David Clayton-Thomas) suggested recording live-off-the-floor to capture the natural energy, dynamics, and communication of the group. To complete this classic sound, Talk of Hands was mixed and mastered using fully analog equipment.
