Raquel Marina Quartet


Vocalist, composer, educator, and bandleader Raquel Marina is recognized for her adaptability, competence, and versatility. She contributes an organic vocal and compositional style to the Toronto jazz scene. Her effortless power, captivating storytelling, and natural melodic sensibilities contribute to her unique synthesis of singer-songwriter elements with traditional and modern jazz aesthetics. Raquel recently graduated from the University of Toronto’s Jazz Comprehensive program.

In 2023, Raquel became a winner of the JAZZ 4 THE AGES competition hosted by the Niagara Jazz Festival. Additionally, she released her debut EP with guitarist Julien Bradley-Combs, Never, Never and her first full-length original album, Kind Words in 2025. She is a regular performer at Toronto venues including Drom Taberna, The Drake Hotel, Reid’s Distillery and The Tranzac.  Currently, under the guidance of Juno nominee Noam Lemish, Raquel is working towards a Master’s degree in composition at York University.
